We were watching last evening and saw the wreck first hand. There are those who denounce NASCAR for not racing with
regular production cars like in the old days. I for one have seen enough dead young Americans that I have no desire to see
anyone get hurt. I applaud NASCAR for the safety revolutions they have designed into these vehicles. It's still dangerous
enough for my taste. Now if they'd just get over this WOKE crap.

I never cease to be amazed at the level of destruction a cup car can undergo and still protect its driver
It is the same with our supercars here in Aus,
High speed rolls are very rarely a issue as despite how spectacular they look allow the energy to be slowly dissipated. It is the sudden stop even in lower speed wrecks that usually result in injuries and deaths.

Here is one from a few years back at over 300kph, driver got himself out and walked away before safety crews could even get to the scene. Unreal to think they can exit the car and be walking away less than 30 seconds after the car starts to roll.

It was a good race. I really wanted Bell to win but he wrecked out. Too bad.
I enjoyed it to the end.

Well, he didn't really wreck. He blew up a brake caliper. That's the first time I've seen that.

I also wanted Bell to win, but my 2nd choice was Blaney.

I'm not a big Blaney fan, but glad he won it.

I've seen it before, but for Bell that was his first one ever.

What a time for it to happen. Last race of the year with a possibility of a championship.

By the way, not sure what happened to Busch. He made it up to the teens, pitted and came out in the 20's. This happened about 3 times. What was with the pit crew? Then he spun and finally finished a lap down. Well when you're not in the Chase, you don't get much attention.

Just glad to hear it wasn't a Hendrix team that won the championship. ;)
