2023-2024 NCAA Football Season

Post by JEBar » Fri Sep 01, 2023 8:48 am

yesterday evening we watched our first college football game this season .... NC State University traveled to play the UConn Huskies .... both teams scored the first time they had the ball ... after that the Wolfpack eased ahead and went on to take a 24 - 14 victory .... considering that it was the first game for both teams, they both played well

in a second game Wake Forest University played Elon which is not up to the Demon Deacons ACC level .... Wake was in charge from the opening whistle with a final score of 37 - 17

Congrats to the Wolfpack Jim.

My Washington State Cougars play Colorado State tomorrow. I recently reduced my Dish Network package and sure enough, tomorrows game is on a channel I eliminated. So I sucked it up and changed back to my original programming. I’ll change it back once I know what channels the rest of the games will broadcast on.

Go Cougs!

Louisville woke up and played the last 5 minutes like a team possessed ... they ended up coming from behind to beat Georgia Tech 39 - 34

A huge underdog and more criticism than I think any new coach has put up with and a reloaded Colorado team wins there first game by beating TCU. Im glad to see it as I like Deion Sanders

the 31 - 17 final score of last night's UNC vs USC really doesn't reflect how competitive the two teams were .... considering it was the first game of the season, both teams did pretty well .... UNC got most of the breaks and their defense played markedly better than they did for the last half last season .... both quarterbacks are fine athletes

Yeah, I didn’t watch but I sure am enjoying the after game interviews. What a quality father and son.

The WSU Cougs put a whooping on Colorado State yesterday but sure showed some “chinks in the armor”. Their quarterback who is highly praised is a guy that I’m not too sure of. He does great things with both his arm and his feet but then goes stupid and turns the ball over. Last night he had three turnovers, two fumbles and one interception. Running with the ball and just dropping it untouched. Ugh. So we’ll see once they play a real contender.

Not only a father son but the entire team loves that man. Lee Corso on ESPN needs to get a life and retire.

I expected a close contest last night between Florida State and LSU but the Seminoles pretty well dominated the Tigers by a score of 45 - 24

the big game in our area tonight when the #9 Clemson Tigers travel to Duke's Wallace Wade Stadium .... the odds makers are picking Clemson by 13 points .... I'll be pleasantly surprised if its that close

OK, I'd of not picked Duke to be up 3 - 0 at the end of the first quarter and to make it 6 - 0 on the first play of the second quarter

that's putting it mildly ...

final score Duke 28 - 7 .... this one will go way up on the biggest wins in Duke history list .... Clemson had their chances but missing 2 field goals and twice being first and goal inside the 5 and not scoring would sink many teams .... glad we got to watch it
