Yes sir, looks like Rossi has cloned the 336, yes the 336.
Ranger Point Precision has had one for a spell, here are a couple of their videos.
Found a couple on GB, and even a Trapper model at $800 and Buy it Now...
Done away with the two piece firing pin, looks pretty good, and I don't need another 30-30.

The wood doesn't look very good on it but if you just need a basic woods rifle I guess it's good.

I stripped the stain off of my Rossi 357 and applied Tru-oil and it came out pretty nice.
A little light in color but much netter looking than the original.
Might be doable on those as well.

Im with Forty. The wood looks like they might have a surplus of old barns in Brazil.
Don't let the old man in

Wasn’t the Rio Grand a 336 clone?

Yes the Rio Grande's were 12 years ago. But, these R95's in rifle calibers are a total redesign. Just hit the market, with many more models to come. They still sell the Rio Bravo 22's.

Would rather have smooth wood than that stippling they call checkering. plus price needs to come down to the $600 range or so.
