the trucks just finished stage 1 at Mid America .... the sun came out a couple of laps ago, prior to that they were running in the heaviest rain I ever remember seeing ..... bunches of trucks ran off the track .... looks like most will start stage two on slicks

220, I found it on You-tube in it's entirety, and watched the last 10 or so laps.
He really did a well job. Congrats to him and the team.

RP
SVG got a bit of a reality check yesterday, tried a dive bomb for the lead at the first corner that compromised his line dropped a few spots the got beat on until he got back to speed and his rhythm back. He had more contact in the first lap than the entire chicago race.
Similar to Chicago with a restart after yellow with about 20 to go and varying tyre ages. SVG was outside the top 10 on the restart came back to finish 4th. Driver that was winning at the Spa 24h the same time SVG was in chicago came from even further back to finish 3rd.

One thing I noticed watching yesterdays race on TV and noticed watching Chicago was just little differences in the TV coverage. With our supercars coverage if the leaders are running single file a second or more apart they will show the real battles going on further back in the pack and follow cars making a charge through the field. Also we get multiple updates per lap on the leader board, so the gaps between cars and position changes are updated almost as they happen. Lets you follow your favorite drivers a bit more closely even if they arent getting coverage. Chicago coverage we were only getting updated leader board when they crossed the finish line. Not sure if it is as a result only having a timing loop at the finish line or a TV decision.

Michael McDowell made a smart (or maybe lucky) move by staying out and finishing 4th putting himself in the playoffs by points.

Kyle Busch captured another Top 5.

Considering the night William had, he found himself in the right place and time to win. Rudy on the box deserves a lot of accolades for making the right calls when it mattered. Especially on the last pit stop and timing of the storm clouds arriving at the track. Those dominant Fords may have let one get away....hehehe!

Another supercars driver headed to Nascar with conformation Brodie Kostecki will drive for RCR at the Indy road course.
I wouldnt rate him as highly as SVG but he has had a couple of wins this year and currently sitting 2nd in the championship.
He did do a bit of racing in the USA as a teenager in late models and ARCA.

Is that Ward's, or Jeff's son?
I knew Jeb, Ward's son was racing for a bit.

I'm still not supporting it in any way, shape or form, but I still watch what I can receive, most of the time anyway, lol.

But the old days are gone, that's for sure.
