House Committee hearing on UFO's tomorrow

Post by GunnyGene » Tue Jul 25, 2023 10:44 am

Hearing will be live on CSPAN2 @ 10am ET tomorrow (don't know if that's Eastern Time, or Extraterrestrial Time ). Maybe they'll have some unexpected guests. Could be fun. ;)

I worked for the govt for 32 years and could have written up numerous encounters of UFOs with aircraft I was working or some I even saw on radar. We were forbidden to report it.
I have listened to tapes of fighter pilots with one on their tail and they were frantically trying to get away. They were terrified.
I have had sheriffs from three different counties report one slowly moving back and forth in a mountain valley and we actually
had it on radar.
There is definitely something out there.

I believe in UFOs, the govt doesn't exist.

Remember a real UFO should have blinking lights to be in FAA compliance!

It's not very likely, but maybe they're inter-galactic missionaries who know "The Truth" and who've come to save our souls. Just kidding.

It's more likely that they are very skilled scientists exploring and collecting data about the universe and they just stumbled on this silly place and can't believe it.

  Pretty sure they're exempt. But having had 15 years of almost daily contact with FAA while employed by Boeing, I'm not absolutely certain they don't include UFO's in their regulations. Possibly in the "Experimental Aircraft" sections.

Since Albert Einstein proved that time travel is possible, (only into the past as the future hasn't happened yet), why
couldn't it be our descendants journeying back through time to observe us. :o

32 years in the FAA and I can tell you they are NOT exempt. We just don't know where to send the citation to.

Since you state that travel into the future is not possible, I'd have to argue that there are an infinite number of futures. The realization of a particular probable future (a reality) derives from all that has gone before. A very smart man once noted: "In the absence of Reality, Probability rules." So the problem facing a time traveler is not question of time, but choosing one of an infinity of possible futures (Probability of becoming a Reality); each in flux from nano second to nano second; and in a sense, competing with all other possible realities - that in our ignorance we refer to as the future. :)

Why not both. Or neither? The answer to the question demands perfect knowledge of the Universe. Lacking that, all we have are probabilities based on the extent of our knowledge - which is severely inadequate.

Please don't. Your sudden appearance in the past would alter the present in unforeseeable ways.

I promise not to tell anybody about the Beatles and that people actually one day make a movie out of Barbie. But it would be interesting to see Biden at the start of his political career back then. :)

I gave up on the Bus back to 1970. So maybe sit in the front yard every night waiting for a UFO ride back to the 70's!

:D It's turtles all the way down.
A well-known scientist (some say it was Bertrand Russell) once gave a public lecture on astronomy. He described how the earth orbits around the sun and how the sun, in turn, orbits around the centre of a vast collection of stars called our galaxy. At the end of the lecture, a little old lady at the back of the room got up and said: "What you have told us is rubbish. The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise." The scientist gave a superior smile before replying, "What is the tortoise standing on?" "You're very clever, young man, very clever," said the old lady. "But it's turtles all the way down!"[/quote}]
