My step son took this 9 point with his bow this week.

Congratulations to him, beautiful deer! That is a really big deer! What did it dress out at and what was the spread? Does he plan to have a head or shoulder mount or have the horns put on a plaque? He can really be proud of that one. Thick neck like in the rut too.

I'm not sure of the numbers. We had a special celebration last night and he brought the back straps fresh. We added them to the grill and he and I feasted. I think he's doing a head mount. I loaned him the down payment.

Harvested "with a bow"....very cool.
X2 for Dutch's deer description. It's a beautiful one for sure.
Do you know at what distance he took it down?
Optic on the bow?

They get big up in your neck of the woods. I have seen deer down here that I thought was a tall dog.
Load on Sunday and Shoot all Week.......okay it's a Mare's Leg I will reload on Wednesday.
Re: Step son got a nice one
Not many deer here. Just coyotes! I wouldn't mind taking a few of them out.

I don't know any of those details either. I'll have to ask him.PT7 wrote:Harvested "with a bow"....very cool.
