Stormy Week
Folks, it has been a rough week. I'm beat. I think we've had severe storm alert days about 6-7 days straight now. Lots of rain and wind. Our worse here was Wednesday evening. Daughter and Granddaughter couldn't get home from work and school because of trees down. Daughter about 30 minutes away, granddaughter an hour. I couldn't get to them. They scared. Cell service on and off. Power out everywhere, almost dark. Trying to talk to them and keep them calmer. All you can do is wait til enough folks get out and start cutting up the trees. I was finally able to start clean up on my own place yesterday. Will take a few days. All of this, and I've seen one county truck this week. Power company working around the clock, and doing a good job. Hope anyone else that's had storms comes out ok. I know Forty got hit one day. I'm hoping nobody calls me for help today. I'm tired.

Hope things settle down there and you can relax. One bad storm is enough much less several back to back.

Power company sent email saying all power restored as of middle of afternoon. These kind of storms are really unusual for this time of June.

Well, cancel that last transmission all power restored. Storms again last night. People without power again. Luckily, ours came back on in about an hour early this morning. Haven't heard of any damages.

Today, predicted less scattered severe storms. Got us in the marginal risk area today. Still chance severe storms at least thru Thursday. With us only losing power for not even a full day, it hasn't been bad. Far as I know, nobody hurt and very little houses and buildings damaged. Lots of trees fell in yards but not on anything. Getting the roads passable was main thing.
