Range Report: one shot

Post by Sir Henry » Thu Jun 15, 2023 5:10 pm

I worked on my range today and set the main hanger in concrete. It’s nice having a tractor to do a lot of the muscle work.

It’s not very purdy but it is functional. I fired one shot in my Henry to consummate the days work.

Wow you are really getting the range in great order Gene! Is that your Boot Hill way at the top with the little crosses?

Yup, looking good. Didn't have a hillside to dig into here... so I had to build a berm... what a PITA. Hah.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

I'm going to let the fire ants build my next berm. Then find out what real war is like after I start lobbing in 45-70 howitzer rounds!

I worked on the berm today. Mainly behind it creating a walkway to the top.

These daisies grow everywhere and I transplanted a few to get them started.
