Confirmed today that reining Australian supercars champion Shane Vangisbergen will drive for track house on the streets of Chicago in July.
Last supercars champion to race nascar was Marcus Ambrose, SVG would be on a similar level to Ambrose. Unlike Ambrose he has no desire to race ovals or make a fulltime switch but like Ambrose in his last season before switching has been publicly highly critical of those in charge of supercars the past few months.
I cant see him going to nascar full time but can certainly see him racing the majority of road courses in the future.

I will make my prediction now, if he finished the race in Chicago he will be top 10 and probably in the mix for the win.

You could be in for a treat, he came from 9th yesterday in a sprint race to steel 3rd on the final lap.
Took him a few corners to get it done for 3rd on the final lap but nicely done taking the other car wide without putting him off.
Not afraid to bang wheels when needed but keeps it fairly clean most of the time

Hailie Deegan finished today's race at North Wilksboro on the lead lap, in 20th place, in a 36 truck field

the grandstands were packed for tonight's All Star Race at North Wilksboro .... Kyle Larson driving the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Hendrick Motorsports was the class of the field and won $1,000,000 .... I can't help but wonder if NASCAR will work North Wilksboro back into its regular schedule

It would be great to see the track back on the regular schedule if it could be somehow squeezed in, but as we all know the reason it closed is because it's dates got bought up. Maybe one of the faltering tracks could give one up. It was a great turnout. I can image just how great it would have been if Nascar didn't go somewhat woke and alienate many their old time fans.

They say the race was great track-wise, but a big disappointment race-wise. They say the race was over in the very beginning with Kyle Larson's car being ultra-dominate. Hope they bring his car back to Charlotte for a check over, lol.

Pretty eventful race. Will Chase get a penalty? Blaney wins for the first time in 59 races, Larson spins at the end and Bubba's certain finger shows up again.

Kyle Bush salvages a 6th after a wild spin earlier in the race.

Great week-end for Penske. Wins both the Indy 500 and the Coke 600.

Didn’t Bubba have a one race suspension last year for the same thing?

Yes he did, but Bubba's retaliation was more violent, especially when these cars were having problems with injuries. He own teammate was out with related injuries at the time. Then he walked, a good distance to boot, over to Larson and started pushing him, not knowing that he may have had an injury. In all reality, he should have been out 2 or 3 races.

Now to complicate things more, Chase is Nascar's "golden" boy. If it wasn't for Bubba, he may have gotten away with it.

His off camera antics and his attitude in general are unacceptable to me in the sporting world period. He sets a poor example. Maybe he should do a little Mark Martin studying. Flipping off the public on camera is childish and personally his explanation for doing so I dont believe. I cant believe Michael Jordan team owner allows this to go on.

I agree. I actually liked the guy when I first got to know him. In the early years he had a pretty funny commercial. But, there has been a lot more going on than what is listed above. He actually keeps adding to his laundry list.

Michael Jordan had class during his basketball days. I also can't believe he is allowing this.

More hot news from Nascar. Chase Briscoe, Tony Stewart's #14 driver, just got hit with what appears to be one of the largest penalty/fines ever by Nascar. Loss of Driver Points, Owner Points, Championship Points, Suspension and a $250,000 Fine to boot. Just for using a counterfeit "Engine Panel Duct" in Monday's race. More details to follow.

Here is the additional Info:

As a result, crew chief John Klausmeier has received a $250,000 Fine and a Six-Race Suspension. Chase Briscoe has lost 120 Driver Points and 25 Playoff Points. SHR has lost 120 Points and 25 Playoff Points.
