So wake up a little foggy brained on a Saturday morning and turn on the TV while getting coffee going. See the local news doing a live report from a nearby large Ford dealership about an area Mustang car club celebrating 60 years of the Mustang. I thought what the heck year is this thinking I slept a whole year away last night??? Confused I check and sure enough it is April 15 2023 and then wonder whats up with these clowns since the Mustang was introduced and available for sale April 17 1964 ! I attenended the 40th in Nashville back in April 2004 and know how to do simple math.
Kept watching the report showing the clubs cars as the club president said about 25 cars would be attending....club members I guess that don't know what year it is.

Well, look at it that this is the 21st century but it's 2023. The club is in it's 60th year.

Re: Shock to my system this morning....
My first car was a 64 1/2 Mustang. I always thought it was a 65 until I was reading on the internet about them and found out the 170 ci engine (Falcon holdover) was only offered in the 64 1/2. Wish I still had it, but it would likely be more trouble than it was worth. I got really good at R&R the light duty 3 speed manual it sported. Those small diameter four wheel drum brakes were pretty dicey as well.
