Super day for the Range

Weather was very nice this morning: 60-65 F sunny and a light breeze. Couldn't ask for better weather. So I brought my DPMS AR-308 out of the safe, grabbed two 50 round boxes of ammo. and headed out the door. I had the range to myself and proceeded set out my target at 100 yds. I fired 3 rounds, with just my elbows on the bench, to warm up the barrel and burn off any extra oil. You can see those rounds at 3, 9 and 11 o'clock positions. I then fired the next 7 rounds from the rest. I was pleased with my group so I began shooting the center out of the target. I also switched to shooting a 10" steel plate we have hanging at 200 yards. With this setup it's hard to miss.

Nice for you.........Between sundown and dark i rode the golf cart over to my skeet field and unloaded 50 ea 410 shells.....In shorts and a tee shirt. As you stated this weather is fine for shootng......You go use that .308 for a deer donker?

Good to hear you got out and shot some of those dangerous skeet critters. They are mean little devils

That 308 would be a super deer donker, but I don't hunt anymore. If I were to shoot a deer, I'd have to pay a porter to drag it out of the woods. I just enjoy taking it out to the range.
