You're right on that Mark; too many going away. It took a lot for those guys to get to where they were going early on, then it probably caught up to them mostly. Sure were good at what they did and gave us for music.

Blue Collar is one of the best songs ever period, regardless of the band. Definitely in my top 10 all time. In the mid 70’s I saw BTO in concert in Spokane and going in my thoughts were, “play anything and everything but PLAY BLUE COLLAR”. Of course the show ended save the encore and they hadn’t played it yet. Back out they came and played Blue Collar for at least 20+ minutes. I was in heaven.

I have the Not Fragile album on my playlist. Of course I also have the LP.

I saw these guys (BTO) twice. Once in Oklahoma in 1974, with Bob Seeger and Thin Lizzie. BTO put on a great show. Brother Randy is a really versatile, talented guitar player.

I worked in a machine shop after school in '72-'74. The first time "Let It Ride" came over the radio in the shipping dept., we left our screw machines to go listen to it.

Before that, another "Man, when I get home I'm pickin' up my guitar and gonna learn that song" moment was when ZZ Top's "Just Got Paid" came over the airwaves.

I have to agree with Homer Simpson. It is a scientifically proven fact that Rock 'n' Roll peaked in 1974.
