What did you do at your reloading bench today?

Sub zero temps so I separated brass down to .1 gn.

Moved the wife's fire pit 100 feet to make it easier for her to walk the dutch oven out. . . . .

Everyone else is prepping, loading or shooting . . . what am i doing wrong?

I only separate cases by headstamp, but even though they are the same Mfr, they do vary by several grains and sometimes even more. Do you find this .1 grain cut to be effective?

I spent the day (lots of rain and wind here in NH) reviewing the results of trial loads for my .44 Mag. Close to making my choice on a hunting load. Then cleaning and prepping more cases. (I had to use two hands on the press since my tennis (aka "press") elbow is still complaining.
Like most, I won't get back to loading until sometime next week.

I did pick a nice used (discontinued) Redfield Revolution 2-7x33 scope.
Not sure where it's going, but I love those and that is my second.

I deprimed the 30-carbine brass my nephew gave me. I checked a bunch of it for overall length, I set my trimmer to the 1.280 recommended, but none of it needed trimming. I'll double-check after sizing.

I have not, we are new to reloading and my last step after checking in the head gauge is weighing each for overall weight. Double checking for the proper charge is the goal and having the cases and projectiles as close as possible help with consistency. My last range trip with 357 separated proved to be well worth the work! I was very happy with the shooting. Groups were going so well I took the allen wrenches and the brass tap to zero the sights and retest.

My understanding is that most of the case weight differences is due to machining difference in the case head, not so much the case wall. So cases all sized the same should have the same case volume regardless of the overall empty case weight.

Just got back from 2 weeks away from home. Stopped by and visited markiver54 and he gifted me a pile of 38spl and 357 mag. brass.
So here shortly I will separate, deprime, and then tumbler those.

Got it all sorted and decapped.
Coffee can nearly full of 38spl not counting the 50 pcs. of nickel ones.
Only 50 357's, got those and the silver 38's and 20 pcs. of Creedmoor bras in the tumbler.

Took a little break after all the brass 38's,
