Back to online normal again!

Post by fortyshooter » Wed Dec 28, 2022 12:36 pm

Since that winter storm blew thru here back on Friday my internet service with Xfinity had been down. The tech showed up today and the problem was my old modem had quit due a possible power surge when the power went off. The modem and router were all old Comcast equipment and resulted in the 3 units being replaced with one unit that does it all much better. Fixed for no cost and back up and running! :D

It's amazing on how seemingly dependent we have become on a basically non-essential service.

There are folks that, given the choice, would rather do without water or electricity than their precious cell phone.

Just to be clear, I'm not referencing this to you, fortyshooter, just a comment on our society in general.

And I am guilty of spending way too much time on the internet these days myself.

Hey without the net I couldn't communicate with all the fine folks here! :D My phone is a PIA for me to use online and I just use it as a phone if on the road, down at my range or just taking it while walking around.

I don't mind that much using the phone for reading and such,
for some of the great pictures and videos that are posted I like the laptop to view those.
Plus there a couple of features of this forum that just don't work on the phone.
Glad you are back up and running.

Glad you are back. I too don't use my phone to go online. I can't see the dang screen.

My phone is my only internet. It’s also a camera, television, radio, microwave, well maybe not a microwave.
