Good morning for a woods walk.....

33 degree sunny morning so Buster and I suit up for a woods walk. Got the S&W 686 3 incher ready in the holster and off we go.
Buster likes romping around on a trail and the woods behind our neighborhood is great to explore.

Enjoy the walk forty, the #2 grandson loves the woods around the house and is always ready for a good walk in them.

I think I'll stay in by the fire today.

I'm too old for that anymore.

first up for me this morning has been a dental appointment .... not my favorite way to start a day ..Confused .. following several hours of overnight subfreezing temps. its already up to 44 on its way to a predicted high of 47 .... its supposed to drop below below freezing late this afternoon and remain there for 10 or so hours .... with Christmas rapidly (and I do mean rapidly) approaching, we can't wait much longer to take care of some things .... for example, to facilitate our family gathering at one of our son's place, we tow our camper over there (3 miles) and set it up for us to stay in .... with rain due to set in shortly, we need to get it moved and in place before the ground softens .... I hope to ride over there later today and make sure the ground is hard enough to handle the weight of our truck and camper .... we also want to transfer packages from under our tree to the one over there before the rain sets in

I thought Virginia had pretty mild Winters but I guess it's not really that far South. Don't see any snow on the ground

Well the nickel cases are 158 gr. XTP and the brass 180 gr. MB pugs. A good mix for all occasions.

No snakes out this time of year and makes for great trail walking. Going to really get cold for Christmas this weekend!

Oh hell yes! I lived there for 20 years and even had an unpleasant encounter with a Copperhead.
I was picking tomatoes and the SOB was in the vines. Got me on the arm. No fun!

I've walked down the street on Christmas Day with my Father in short sleeves and the Tulips were blooming,
and that was in Northern Virginia.

One reason I like Minnesota is no poisonous snakes, (to speak of anyway), (there are some in the Southeast
and Southwest).
