Saw it right away. I guess that's because we have a lot of them around here and I'm used to looking for them. They feed on an occasional squirrel. 😁

Got him and I didn’t even have to increase the picture size. Great picture, love watching hawks work.

I think this is the female of a nesting pair, since I just caught a quick glimpse of another one that zoomed past the window at high speed and low altitude. Probably an attack run. Looked bigger and more brightly colored, then the one in the pic above still sitting in the same tree. Always something interesting going on around here. :)

Yeah, and some of us dim eyed old folks can expand pictures and really see better. Kinda like looking at a pic thru binoculars.

Weird. Spotted one today fishing. Just sitting there. Attracted a lot of attention from the hikers and birders. Pretty much all agreed it was a Red Tail.

Yesterday, I hiked 14 miles and sat for 6 hours in a wet blind to get this glimpse of a red tailed hawk.

"Would you believe?" The Pup and I went to the Birds of Prey Center and he was one of the demonstration birds.

We do have a red tailed hawk or two that patrol the neighborhood looking for unwary tree rats.
