.357 action at the ol' Bullseye Saloon.......

Went down to the range today to blow the dust off my ol' saloon gallery. Brought along a pair of capable peace makers the Henry 357 rifle and Evil Roy the bad little 357 SA revolver by Cimarron.
Ammo today the tried and proven 357 load 158 gr. MB RNFP loaded with 6.0 gr. Power Pistol and the 180 MB pugs with 11.5 Alliant 2400.

Set up a variety of steel target and took the tarp off the Saloon to get it ready for action. First I took 5 shots with the EV revolver 3 with my sore
left hand my usual shooting hand and 2 with my right. Wow not bad with 3 shot ragged hole. How did I do that? Load was the 158 MB RNFP and no other really needed. Next 4 shots with the Henry from 20 yds to check where it would hit with same load and not bad at all.

After some steel plinking that big ol' bear came snooping around and put several 180 pugs in the kill zone from 30 yds. standing. Not bad and would do the job. Then I loaded up some of those 180 bombs in the Evil Roy six shooter to see what bear would think from 18 yds. with two hand grip. He didn't like that at all with those hits surprising me in the red! Nice shootin' revolver and it looks good too. However the CCH Henry won the beauty contest with the sun hitting that CCH finish just right!

Lost one of the bowling pin flippers when a 180 pug hit broke the head off the retaining bolt. Those things hit hard!

After all that put the guns away and stopped in the Bullseye for a cold

Love that Cimarron, not to mention that amazing range of yours. That's a great group with the Cimarron. Nicely done. The Henry is no slouch, either. You were on a tear with your shooting, today.

The Bullseye is my kind of saloon. Great selection of firearms today. I’m shooting more SA wheels myself. Of course I need more practice to be able to get your groups at 10 yards. Nicely done except for the Henry taking out the pin bolt.

Yes I had a fun afternoon that day. Wanted to get a bunch steel out to shoot and had not shot up the saloon targets in a good while.
The EV revolver and load performance or maybe I was just feeling good surprised me! Henry always shoots well.

I need to get out and shoot but the sudden drop in temps and all the rain had aggravated arthur and he told me no.
Arthritis is an evil fellow. I worked at the leather bench on the tractor holster instead. LOL.
