Really nice pictures. Is that a fire tower in one of them?

I don’t believe it’s a traditional fire tower where they lived that had an alidade. It’s more of a public observation tower on Timms Hill which is the highest point in the state. This view is from the neighbors house although I can also see it from my house.
The entire north woods is beautiful in the fall but the Town of Hill is kind of famous locally.

Thanks forty. I get to see these turkeys daily and hear coyotes almost every night. This is the same group. It’s amazing how far and fast they wander without really going anywhere. I don’t just see them from time to time, I live with them. Earlier in the year I lived with a family of Sand Hill Cranes but haven’t seen them in about a month. Then I have deer that wander by. Right now they are feeding at the apple trees down by the road. I can usually spot them near dusk. Today I took a drive further north where the colors are a week ahead of us. My traveling companion was a 97 year old neighbor and she would tell me a story about every turn in the road.fortyshooter wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:34 pmIf that place isn't heaven it's darn close to it! I bet you enjoyed that ride. Don’t know which I would have liked better, the view or having someone to fill me in on the history of the area.
