Cellular Game Cameras

Post by graywolf » Wed Sep 07, 2022 10:56 pm

Been researching and leaning towards Moultrie, mostly because I’m familiar with the name. Anybody have any suggestions? Tacna cam seem to have good reviews. If you have cellular, do you like it any better than the regular game cameras? Anything you can tell me is more than I know now.

Found out my Grandson has one but just got it and hasn’t used it yet. That doesn’t help me any.

I have looked at them and it is great to pull up the camera on your computer or phone anytime. However I get a weak to no signal even with Verizon in the woods depending on the location so not sure how well it would work all the time. Now if you could mount an antenna on a tree or out near the road that might help.

Bought a 2-pak at BPS. Got 1 activated and hung today between showers. Will play around with the settings tonight.

Great! Let us know how well it works. How far will you be located from the camera? I would be 25 miles away.

Whew! I got to change some settings. Batteries down to 80% in just 2 days. Only 8 pictures so far. Hopefully some deer and foxes tonight.
It’s only about 300 yards behind house now while testing it. It is showing a weak signal though. May have to move it tomorrow.

Think I got the settings like I want. Battery still holding at 80%. I know when the batteries went from 100% to 80% in just 2 days, that wasn't gonna cut it. I moved it today, still showing a weak signal, but its sending pictures.
