Upgraded internet, finally

For a variety of reasons we have been getting by with DSL internet service. It's somewhat slow at the best of times, 6 mps, and extremely slow at the worst of times. Only two viable options in our neighborhood, and no way we were going to pay Spectrum for anything, so we finally got Uverse installed yesterday. Fiber hasn't been run out here yet, so the only option was 75 mps service.

Wow, it's like taking a really good antihistamine after mowing the lawn in the spring.

We may get crazy this weekend and sign up for Netflix, or something like it.

We live in the south Carolina boonies and have T mobile wireless internet, excellent signal for all the TV and internet, it's billed as an additional line for $30 a month and no contract

We’re on Century Link DSL and while it’s not super fast it is adequate for Netflix and other TV streaming services. Happy you’re getting an upgrade, sure sounds like you needed it.

I'm in the same boat as Hatchdog. Century link DSL is my only choice. At 8 Mbps, it does deliver Netflix and other streaming services with no problem. T-Mobile keeps saying they will provide cellular internet at 50 Mbps, but I'm still waiting for that.

We tried Britbox a couple years ago when using DSL. It would support it, barely, when everything was working like it should. Got tired of buffering, and started to run out of content, so we dropped it.

I picked up a Roku the other day, and am considering Netflix. Watched some of the free content this weekend. I was surprised at how much more definition the HD has vs regular DVDs.
