Getting ready for Fall......

Post by fortyshooter » Mon Aug 01, 2022 2:28 pm

Here lately been too hot/humid to do much outside other than cutting the grass so making plans for some fun down at my range property come cooler weather.
Ordered this trail minibike last week when it was 40% off and glad I did that since that deal is gone. https://www.campingworld.com/coleman-po ... ersports-1 It should arrive later this week and from reviews I have seen it is a very good and popular bike for the money with lots of mod parts for it. I liked it for the larger sized frame it has and plenty of power for my trailing needs and will make up a cargo rack for the back of it. Have a hitch mounted hauling rig for the truck coming next week I hope.
Later during the cold months when the brush dies down I plan on extending some trails to make a loop around the property along the creek area.
Ought to make for some fun trail riding and plinking along the way!

I keep looking at similar ones when I walk by them at Coastal. Don't know how much use I would get from one though.

Yeah, that looks pretty neat. Think you'll like it around the property. Good call.

How would it work in the snow? I’m was thinking of an electric fat bike then I bought just a pedal fat bike. Now I’m thinking electric bike for the summer.

You guys remember those Roku (I think) giant mini bikes that were two wheel drive? As a kid I used to drool over those.

It was delivered this morning and got it together and running. It came in a large box on a pallet and all you had to do was put the forks on, handlebars and front wheel. Put the oil in along with gas and fired up first pull. Thing does have some great throttle response and low end power!
Was riding it around in the yard breaking in the engine. Front wheel feels like it's coming up when you crack on the throttle!

Looks very stout and that’s an impressive headlight.

Yeah the light is big but don't think I'll be doing much night riding. Today I was making laps in my backyard getting the hang of small and smooth throttle inputs since this thing has great low end pull and response and getting used to the handling. With the hot humid and lately afternoon storms I have to get the riding in before noon and had a fun morning today. When the weather starts to cool down I'll be ready for some trail riding down at my place.

Will find out how it runs down at the range this weekend. I added the cargo rack and attached the scabbard for the Ranch Hand 45 and it's perfect with the 9 inch barrel.
My little Ranch Runner with Ranch Hand punch! :D
