With all the advancements in the RV industry I cant figure out why someone hasnt come up with a level indicator that works.
many years ago we installed Horst Miracle Probes in our camper's tanks .... while not perfect, they have proven to be the best thing we've found to give reasonably accurate reading

I’ve found propane gauges to be the worst for accuracy. What do you use?

I haven't found any propane gauges to work very well .... if you find any, please let me know

here we have another beautiful, thankfully calm, morning .... our daughter's flight from Raleigh to Minneapolis just landed .... she and her son are "face timing" right now with Maureen .... they now has a 3+ hour layover prior to boarding a plane that will take them to Sioux Falls where we will pick them up and bring them to Estelline .... the town Rodeo starts tonight and the town is filling up

once again, the Estelline Rodeo has proven to be a big success .... overflow crowd Friday night, full house Saturday night .... talk about large, ornery, bulls, not a single rider lasted for a full ride .... each night after the first bull was released, the announcer didn't have tell the kids to move away from the fence .. ;) .. yesterday back home a wind storm took out the power for well over 12 hours .... with none of our kids in the area, knowing the power was out and having no idea as to when it would be restored proved to be a considerable stress .... thankfully its back on, at this point we can only hope all's well .... we hope to smoke baby back ribs for 7 family members tonight

well, another hot, windy morning in east central South Dakota .... pretty much a steady 17 mph, gusting to 27+ mph .... already 81 headed to 99 and a warning for strong thunderstorms after dark .... the bad news is, our camper's bedroom AC died yesterday afternoon .... a search for someone to check and probably replace it has begun

following an overnight thunderstorm for which they activated the local tornado alarm, its a beautiful morning in the neighborhood .... 69 degrees on its way to a high of 85 .... next round of thunderstorms due Friday and Saturday .... replacement camper AC has been ordered and shipped by Amazon .... a fellow who runs the local heat and AC company has come to the camper and agreed to install it .... it will really be nice to get this taken care of

61 on its way to 85, no wind, no chance of rain ... our daughter is taking her son and some cousins from out here bowling today .... we have a 40+ mile (round trip) grocery/pharmacy run to Brookings on tap ....

A couple of days ago I saw a nasty line of storms heading to Eastern South Dakota. Sounds like you did okay with the storms. Happy your AC is getting repaired, the temps you’re reporting would make the lack of AC pretty miserable.

the seal kit arrived today and per Amazon the AC is on its way .... they are shipping it with some trucking company that doesn't lend itself to good tracking of the shipment .... all they say is "Arriving June 23 - June 28"

Maureen's Camaro that we left in a body shop is ready to be picked up, our kids back in NC will take care of that on Monday .... we've decided to sale a lot we have in South Dakota, a crew has located the sewer line .... RV Armor expects to have a crew working South Dakota shortly, etc .... :D

I’m going to buy a window AC for the upstairs bedroom. Bet mine will be a lot easier to install. Good luck with yours.

AC in RV's have been a pain in the butt for me. Last 2 5ers I have had have had issues with one of them. I think the Dometic AC units are poorly made and are junk from China

this morning started early, in fact, very early .... our daughter and her son had to leave the camper at 2:15AM to be taken 70+ miles to Sioux Falls airport .... they had a 5:30AM flight to take them back home .... its always a relief to be able to say that their plane landed about 4 minutes ago and one of our daughters-in-law is at RDU to pick them up ... 64 this morning after light overnight rain that did little more than settle the dust .... no more is anticipated this month .... next up, a draft horse pull tomorrow

we awoke to a chilly, windy, 57 degree morning under a beautiful, clear blue sky .... biggest thing on tap today is attending a draft horse pull at the town's rodeo grounds .... we attended our first last year and thoroughly enjoyed it .... we are breathing somewhat of a relief because our daughter and her son arrived safely back home yesterday as did our youngest son and his family .... they spent last week in DC in our daughter's camper .... its was great to hear that the camper towed and performed well ....

well, our replacement AC is installed and is pumping out cold air .... its interesting how its housing cover changes color depending on if its in the sun or shade .... the fellow who installed it runs a local heat and air business .... he agreed to the install when I assured him I could verbally work him through the process .... day after tomorrow they are calling for a high of 100, that should be a good test ..... tonight we are scheduled to travel 20 some miles to another town to watch one of Maureen's nephews play baseball

once again we awoke to a beautiful day in east central South Dakota .... heat and wind are forecasted to rush in tomorrow when they are calling for it to once again reach 100 with a steady 22 mph south wind, gusting to 48 mph .... a "danger of dehydration and heat stroke while doing strenuous activities" warning has been issued .... as of right now my only project for today is a mod to our Green Mountain Davy Crockett smoker/grill .... when moving it from one location to another the heat diffuser moves and you need to reset it before use .... after considerable pondering, I believe we've come up with a simple way to take care of that issue

Heat and wind can sure dry a person out. Stay hydrated.

another beautiful morning in east-central South Dakota .... currently 74 on its way to 90 with the next significant chance of rain not in the forecast until Monday .... we are starting to hear fireworks which are big out here over the 4th .... with the very dry conditions out here, there is a rising concern for fires .... we have family coming in for the holiday weekend and are looking forward to it

our string of beautiful mornings continues .... 64 on its way to 85 with little, if any, chance of rain for today .... relatives on the way to camp with us for the weekend .... we are somewhat surprised at a noticeable reduction in fireworks over the last couple of days .... that will probably change this weekend .... its hard to believe that 4 weeks have passed since we arrived in Estelline, the time has simply evaporated
