Are these .357 rounds too pointy to be safely shoved into the side gate of a Big Boy? They are PPU FMS 158 grain. If so, how about loading them down the brass tube? I happened to have these around for use in a revolver at the range. Appreciate solid advice...thanks! :D

I wouldn't use them in any tube fed gun. Recoil, plus mag spring pressure might be sufficient to cause a primer ignition in the tube. Not a risk I'd be willing to take.

That said, I think it would be ok if you never have more than one in the mag tube at a time. So you could load 2 thru the gate, chamber one, fire it, and chamber the 2nd as normal.

even with the fact that the recoil of a Henry 357 is very mild, I agree

There's really no " point " in doing it, with all the other options to choose from.
Save it for the revolver.

I agree with all the others. Just wondering have you considered reloading? Plenty of RNFP available in 357 which work good in a Boy 357. Even with expensive primers you can churn out quality ammo at a savings over factory ammo.

I'm curious about this ammo. I couldn't find it on the PPU site, so I'm thinking it has been discontinued.

I’m thinking the same thing.
