Nice! Love how you have the range areas follow the sun. Where's the burn barrel?

It’s up against the garage and I might polish it up and make a garbage can out of it and buy a 55 gallon barrel. The current one is 25 gallons.

It is nice to be able to shoot on all four sides. The wind and sun will determine which direction I’ll shoot. I suspect the direction will change through out the day. Most everything is still makeshift and it will be late summer before the ranges are more permanent. I have to think forward to next winter’s shooting also.

I’ve been testing my range too much Jim and not getting any work done. The skillet hangs and swings when hit giving a moving target for the next hit. Makes it more fun. It swings much wider than it’s width so I have to aim center and wait for it to come into center.

40 grain solid HV .22LR from my Henry pump.

Real ranges have real rules and my range is no exception. Since I plan on shooting so much I don’t want the neighbors to think I’m careless.

That was a cool video. Eye protection is still needed even if you are shooting paper targets. The reason is firearms themselves produce debris when fired and can even blow up. And shooting BB’s will produce a richochet about 10% of the time. The difference of course is because they are made of steel. Even pellets will richochet occasionally because they don’t have the speed to disengage.

This isn’t really part of the range yet is right at the shooting line. Before I bought these I had to put everything on the ground.

The shooting line is where the brick ends and the concrete driveway begins.

The tables are behind the line and firearms should be placed in front and not behind. I will eventually get a lightweight table or stand so people aren’t in front of the muzzle. Just like any regulation range I will require firearms to be pointed down range at all times.

Home Depot and Cabin Creations a one store family owned business that sells Amish furniture. My outdoor table and chairs are made here in Wisconsin by a five person Amish business.

I bought these today for my front deck.

Nice comfort for the firing line! Don't shoot those hard rubber self healing type spinning targets with pellet rifles either. They will send the pellet back at you! The pellet sounds great as it whizzes by you!

I’ve not had that problem with the swinging bottles. My pellet traps have bounce backs however they always go down just a few feet in front of them.

BB’s are the worst because they are steel.
