Not Talking Specific Politics
I’ve spoken with a few of the neighbors and have driven the loop around Timms Hill. I saw several political signs that are of my party and I sure feel at home. I’ve also told people that I moved here because of politics and let them know which party I belong to. I’m getting a hardy welcome. When I mention I want to target shoot everyone I’ve spoken with has told me most people here at shooters. The houses are far apart and generally speaking noise is not a problem.
I think I made a wise decision moving to Wisconsin and in particular the property I bought.

Re: Not Talking Specific Politics
I bought this home sight unseen. The couple that lived here for nine years and remodeled it lives next door and stopped by to welcome me and say I bought a sound house. He also gave me permission to walk his land, his son’s land and another neighbor’s land. All are marked no trespassing.
He is my closest neighbor and said I can shoot all I want as it’s common. I can’t see his house from mine.

It is good to feel comfortable in your surroundings. Not trying to be political. But, that reflects the 4th amendment.
Actions speak louder than words (Matthew 7:16-20).

We got the same welcome here. I have written permission to shoot coyotes on 160 acres on the two farms beside me to protect livestock. Everyone around here shoots. They know I don't hunt, but we are all tired of this pack of coyotes.

I will probably be passing by this summer on my way up to Lac du Flambeau to visit the wife's dad on the reservation this summer. Have driven your area many times. Home of Tombstone pizza's.

No wood stove. Just propane. I’m amazed at how little propane I’m using. The previous owners were set up to pay $85 a month year round and then make an adjustment if needed. I keep it at 70F day and night.

Are you able to run your propane heat in a power outage?

Re: Not Talking Specific Politics
I don’t think so. I’ve been told power outages are not often and when they do occur they don’t last very long. I’ve found keeping it at 70 is too warm and it’s now set at 68 downstairs and 64 upstairs which is usually 68 because heat rises.dave77 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 7:45 pmAre you able to run your propane heat in a power outage?

I was wondering because you had posted earlier about a ice storm prediction.
Since you already have large propane tank it wouldn't be hard to install a small propane stove. Even if you never need it for a power outage it does provide a nice cozy ambiance. I bet your cat (Little Girl?) would love it.
