Good luck with your surgery Dahlia. Glad you have two good men to help you with it. Hoping for the best outcome.

As an aside, and the cast on your leg notwithstanding, I love your bedroom furniture. Beautiful wood.

Feel for you. It sucks, recovering from any injury. God Bless you and bring you back to health.

A fall? No no no. You need a much better story than that.

Been there/Done that. Hope your injury isn't as bad as mine was. I can't remember now, I either fell on a slippery deck or Tina shattered my femur with a lead pipe for mouthing off. Seriously, it was one or the other for sure... :?

I'm old, memory isn't that good. It hurt though.

Marine I like the way to think.
I was coming down metal stairs at my local whole foods, and slipped off the last 2. Steel steps+ concrete floor+ rain = dislocation, fractures and a break.
Hmmm I tackled a train, Aha! I looked at Chuck Norris funny... Let's get a better story!

I broke the femur in half just above the fake knee, then spiral fracture from knee to hip. Five hour rebuild, eighteen inch steel plate, thirteen screws, three steel zip ties. Month in the hospital, five months relearning to walk. I don't do stuff halfway. :D My right leg xrays now resemble the Eiffel Tower. 8-)

Best of luck, hope your surgery and recovery are much quicker.

Let me help.

You are an ex-Texas Ranger, the first woman to wear the badge. You were pushing a big herd north to Montana, and out scouting one day you came across a herd of buffalo. You decided to chase them just for the fun of it, because one day there won't be any buffalo left to chase, when over the first hill you came across a little band of Sioux warriors. After they shot some arrows into your leg, you outran them on your horse to a small gulley where you took cover. There was a fierce firefight and during the night the Sioux finally gave up and left taking your horse with them. Next morning you crawled out of the dirt bank where you made your last stand, pulled the arrows out and walked 40 miles to town using your Henry rifle as a crutch.

Totally believable, and would make a great movie I think. ;)
