The Ammo
I increased the powder for each of the two bullets I used, though I'm still in the mid-range of the recommended charges. I think both guns liked the 130 grain FMJs better than the 125 grain JSPs.
The Henry H006M
These targets show that I still needed to move the front sight on my Henry a bit more to get it centered, which I did after I got home and cleaned the gun. Maybe next time, the POIs will be scattered in the center of the target and not so far to the right. I'd only given it two taps to the right since I put on the Skinner Express Peep site, so we'll see if the third tap takes it home. I also haven't used a bench to sight it in or to make adjustments, so it's a little at time from a standing off hand position.
The Uberti SmokeWagon
I put a small amount of masking tape on the front sight of the SmokeWagon which helped a lot, and I think I discovered the sight picture it likes. My target for the 130 grain FMJs was much better than the target of 125 grain JSPs, and even though the JSP target is numbered "2", it was actually the first target that I put up, so I improved with the revolver by the end of the session. Certainly, I will be giving myself much more practice.
As usual, I shoot indoors, standing and off hand at six inch targets. I shoot five rounds from each gun, alternating between the two until the box of 50 rounds is gone.
I was the only shooter at the range for most of my session, which was nice.
