Nice. Full racks, reasonable pricing.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Gun prices are competitive with in-town gunshops and no NICS fee or sales tax on firearms. Ammo sticker price is generally about 10% lower, and no sales tax of course. They're not rationing it and the selection is much better than I've seen in town. They've only been in operation for a little over a year, but it's going well so far (lot of retired military around here). There's a lot they don't carry due to limited shelf/wall space. No reloading supplies, a few magazines/holsters, some sights (no scopes), no milsurps or used guns, or other stuff you'd find in a well stocked gunshop.

Our local exchange has had a gun counter for a couple years. I have yet to find anything I can't do as well or better than my LGS, especially considering the local LGS offers a lifetime warranty. Having said that, they did have a Rock Island 1911 on clearance a couple years ago that I should have jumped all over. I think it was just after I had bought my Springfield and wasn't really in the market for one, as well as being leery of a RI. Everything I've heard is that they are a solid gun for the money. Not as nicely made as the Springfield, or other major manufacturer, but at a much lower price point. For a little over $300 new, and no sales tax, I would give it a new home these days.
There is, I think, humor here which does not translate well from English to sanity. - Sanya

Yeah, the Exchange is not a bargain basement. But they are a useful alternative for some things. I've bought a couple guns and a fair amount of hard to find ammo there.
