S&w 586 - 27.34 yard (25m)

IS Stronger better ?
A strange observation ...

Recently I was training a bit with the Smith & Wesson 586.
I used 2 types of ammunition:
38 special grs lead bullet SWC
357 magnum geco

most of my 38 special shots were bad, very scattered.
I thought maybe the bullet could be responsible for the thing.
I therefore reloaded a series of 38 and 357 ammunition with the same bullet fmj rn 158 grs and same powder.

and the following Sunday, started my tests again...
Surprise, same result ...!

All the 38 shots scattered, and all the 357 magnum shots pretty well placed! :o

I spoke to an instructor who was present at the time.
its explanation is as follows:
As I know the 357 magnum hits a lot harder, my grip was much firmer, I was too 'relaxed' with the 38 special ...

I think he's right, I don't see any other explanation ...

On this principle, I will have to test 44 Magnum, maybe I would become a better shooter (it's a joke)

it is possible that brinell hardness change accuracy, also...
To use with 38special charges, i son't use hard cast, linotype, but smoother 14 bhn...
maybe i will test inverted solution, put this bullet in 2357 magnum charge, but to do this it is better to use gas check.
i don't have them to try quickly....
