So are the WA state parks hookups with utilities free for state residents. $50+ a night for long term would be fairly expensive for long term, $1500+ monthly, I guess probably still cheaper than private campgrounds or house payments or rent.

They are free for resident Disabled Veterans. When they passed the law they thought veterans would just use it for camping. It never occurred to them veterans would live in the parks full time jumping from park to park.
