Have sons that were in the corps, and they message me on this day every year. So happy birthday to all Marines.

At my previous place of employment the resident Jarheads would bring in large cake, blow a recorded bugle over the intercom throughout the building, and then have a ceremony at the watch desk commemorating this day. If we Army guys didn't make any rude comments, we were invited to eat cake with the Jarhead friends.

I always ate the cake.

Little late to the game, but thanks for the birthday wishes. Been 40 years since I stepped on those yellow footprints, but I am still a Leatherneck! Me and my Grandson.
