Nike

Post by JEBar » Thu Oct 28, 2021 11:36 am

a few days ago I was given a hoody sweatshirt .... its very nice and I really needed a new one ... a day or so later I saw news coverage of pro basketball player, Enes Kanter, denouncing China's practices of using slave labor and its treatment of minority populations .... in his comments he claims Nike utilizes such practices .... I have not seen any official denial from Nike .... consequently, I've chosen to alter my new hoody so as to not advertise for Nike .... alterations shown below .... I have no doubt that this will have the tiniest impact on Nike but it makes me feel better .... ;)

I like your advertisement much better. If I can find the box where my patches ended up, I have a mind to put a patch on a sweatshirt or coat. I like the way yours looks. Very Nice!

I need to get my wife to sew my Henry patches. Seems she's always got something else to do. I'll probably have to do it myself.

I agree with you, sir. Nike has supported some really bad causes over the years and I prefer not to purchase anything from
them or advertise for them. Lover the new patch, though!

Rumor has it Henry uses quality materials and skilled labor. To date Henry has neither confirmed or denied these accusations. I want that hoodie!

Excellent Work, YOU didn't force your grandchildren to do the work for you did you?
I put MINE to work when they visit.

Just kidding, you.
I do put mine to work. :)

no grandchildren involved in this project but we usually keep them involved in many others .. :D .. I do help a bit by hot gluing them in place but around here sewing on the logos is strictly a one woman operation .. ;) .. as this is being typed, she has her machine setup and is working on a half dozen other caps
