Made a little smoke this weekend.

Post by Vaquero » Mon Oct 18, 2021 8:57 am

Seems it's the trend lately, well after PJM pulled out his shorty .54 out last week.
I decided to pull the ole Renegade out of the safe, this hasn't been out in a year and a half or better.
To my surprise 😮 it was still loaded.😬
Well it went off without a hitch.🥰

Anyway I never tried these before, a 348 gr plastic tip and base. So what the heck I said, 90 grs of Pyrodex.
Not to bad, first shot 12:00, then the next three a tad higher. Shooting from the picnic table and 55 yds.
And one on the gong for Al. 😉

If you gonna make good smoke with a muzzie you need real black and round balls not that modern stuff. Get in the game Randy

I have about a half pound of fff, a about 3/4's a pound of ff.
And a little over half pound of the Pyrodex.
I have round balls in .32, .45, and .50, none in .54.

I need to make a trip north to Union City, and visit Dixie Gun Works.
Probably need to call first, and see if they even have any in stock.
I need a couple of other things while I'm there also.
