Fun gun's down!!!
My Model 60 is giving me ejection issues. The last time I took her to the range I used copper tipped ammo and she jammed Everytime!
Then I used lead tipped ammo and the jams were about every 3-5 shots.
I did put new trigger springs in to make trigger pull easier. So we are thinking I may have cranked the stock on too tight, or it's an issue with those springs.
Please put your ¢2 in.

Re: Fun gun's down!!!
You may have a fouled chamber. Dirty chamber can cause binding on extraction, which will cause ejection issues. Lead and powder buildup may be the culprits. Try a good cleaning. Not dirty enough to cause feeding issues, yet...

Re: Fun gun's down!!!
A retired gunsmith/gun shop owner friend of mine told me that he used to do a good business with Marlin Model 60s. He'd take them in on trades, then completely disassemble and clean them. He said that whenever a customer was having issues, all it usually took was a good cleaning. That's what I would do, first thing, as Marine suggests. Crud buildup in the chamber is often the culprit. Best of luck.

This is a coincidence. Mine jammed just a few times last time I was out and I just came from the basement after giving it a bath. Patches came out black for quite a while and I dont remember the last time I did it. But its done now.

Try running a patch up the bore to the chamber soaked in hoppes, let it sit for a bit, then pull it back and run your brush in. Then the soaked patch back thru, see it it loosened any buildup. Clean as normal. Bore light is my best friend

Thought about this last night...
... you might also clean the bolt face and under the extractor hook, easy clean, but folks tend to forget.
A few good passes with a brush, maybe hook it with a pick or a pipe cleaner, and you are golden.

Re: Fun gun's down!!!
Boy time has flown!
I finally took fun gun apart, and the Damage? One slightly bent recoil spring guide! Found only on ebay for a whopping $32 used. Everywhere else is sold out. Gonna make some calls around the state, and reach out to folks on the Marlin forum.
Any Chance anyone want to sell an extra they have laying around?

Re: Fun gun's down!!!
So I have been looking around and all I can find are the guides on ebay.
I have been working on straightening the Bent guide today. I cleaned the heck out of it, then threw it into a 475° oven for a total of 25 minutes. I then ran it to the vice and pressed in with a straight edge. A ton better, it will only be temporary until I get a new one.

Best of luck. Let us know how it works. I've heard rumors that Ruger is going to continue the Model 60. Sure hope so. Always liked the model 60.
