Range Report: three hit wonder
I shot again today in the Lincoln National Forest outside of Capitan, NM. I was shooting from a bench at 50 yards. You can see my target in the road. The berm is 100 yards.
My first three shots.
And then I lose it. This target is of the next seven rounds. I was shooting HV shorts which this rifle likes.

Story of our lives buddy. Except for RR.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

That first target is awesome with the 22 Shorts.

Everybody wants to be a Ranchroper when they grow up. Nice shooting Gene that same thing happens to me. Some days are diamonds and then the stones get in the way on others

Re: Range Report: three hit wonder
Thanks guys and gals. Keeping the floaters at bay is my biggest problem followed by poor focus. And now for some reason the peep doesn’t look round. It’s a slanted oval.
All my Henrys like the HV shorts out to 50 yards. After that the spread really opens up.

Re: Range Report: three hit wonder
I agree. 50 yards is about max for 22 Shorts for accuracy out of any gun in my experience. Under 50 yards Shorts can do well in a lot of guns. Very under-rated little rimfire cartridge.Sir Henry wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 9:24 pmThanks guys and gals. Keeping the floaters at bay is my biggest problem followed by poor focus. 50 yards…
Peep sight…
Low velocity ammo…
I say, “well done”.
