Finally got out to shoot today after a long dry spell. Only took my two Italian replicas this time. Distance was 20 yards. Started with the Pietta in .45 Colt; that was NOT working as hoped. I filed a wee bit off the front sight and that got the elevation better, but keeps hitting to the left at times.
Operator error, I'm sure. Switched to the Uberti/Taylor's and that one shoots! Zero issues with windage/elevation. 10 rounds, back in case. Back to the pietta; this time I put the .45 acp cylinder in and it was way better than the Colt loads.

Hmm. Sooo, it seems I need to tinker with some Colt loads to make it behave. Next time I go, I'll keep working on trigger pull. And some new loads perhaps. Man, that Taylor shot lights out. Stoked with that one.
Ok, gun cleaning and beer time! And wife is bring home dinner.
