The Marlin Cowboy 38-55, resting on one knee, I lowered the peep just to see where it was.

After a few adjustments I managed this small group, as they say third times a charm. Last shots touches the red. I am liking this sight.

Pretty effective highlighting the low ones.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

About to RR.
Thanks Mark.
Lol, CF, I did take another pic but that one severed the purpose.

Go for it Al, what distance?
Waiting on the new gong, then I will attempt some longer distance.

I usually shoot at about 50 yards with irons but I have shot 100 150 and 200 once upon a time when I used it in cowboy silly wet. Might take a crack or two at it at 75 80 yards tomorrow. Out there on the grasslands you can really stretch it out if you want to.

Al, how does the Cowboy compare to the Henry?
Do they like similar loads or are they completely different?

Just saw this this afternoon Randy after wheeling a paint roller and brush most of the day. The Henry bore is smaller. Just checked my hunting bullets for the Henry are .377. Lyman gas checks from Montana Bullets. Used reloader 7 in that gun also shot a real nice group at 50 yards with in. I havent shot the Henry to much. Its also a little lighter gun than the Marlin as the Henry has a round barrel.

Yes I only have the short brass. Winchester and Starline. Bought the Starline because I had a couple Winchester 38-55's that I sold. With those I needed the Starline because the brass is thinner and will chamber a bullet at .380 which is what the bore size was on the Winchesters also
