Thanks guys!!
We have waited 5 years to get internet service up there and it's supposed to happen Thursday. This company is the only game in town, so, we've been at their mercy.
Also, we have the guy coming Monday to clean and fill the Hot Tub...( my best friend )...the tub that is. ☺.
So, it's kind of a maintainence trip, once again. I will, however be taking some guns as usual, and one of my 4Wheelers.
Gonna try to have some FUN as well.
Will stay on the grid though.

Granddaughters had 3 softball games in 90 degree heat tonight. A Long Island Ice Tea will be refreshing. Thank goodness tomorrow night’s 3 games will be the last of the season. To the people of this forum, skol!

Been a tiring day. Arrived at the cabin this afternoon with much to do. I feel for those up closer to the fires. We have had really bad air quality today, and expected to be worse tomorrow. Who woulda thought all that smoke would make it this far. Was very hazy and un-healthful all day, and even now.
Anyway, enjoyed a couple coctails this evening and getting ready to turn in. Cheers ta all!

Well more softball tonight with some of the granddaughters. 1st game was at 6:00 and it was 101. The second game started at 7:00 and temperature had cooled down to 99. Need a cold one after that!

Had a couple cold ones, and am currently in the middle of a 46. Tis the last of it, need to make a stop tomorrow I guess.

Well more softball tonight with some of the granddaughters. 1st game was at 6:00 and it was 101. The second game started at 7:00 and temperature had cooled down to 99. Need a cold one after that!

Probably about a case of cold ones.

Never had any Rittenhouse. May give it a try to see how it tastes. Drinking my usual, Dewar's, tonight. About to call it an evening. Hope everyone had a good day. I can say I have. Just purchased a new S&W 629 Deluxe with 3" barrel. Will give it a review when I receive it.

Stopped to eat at a Spanish restaurant, I ordered a jumbo margarita on the rocks, everybody stay safe and stay cool, skol!

My cousin and his wife joined us for bacon wrapped filets on the Blackstone along with Samuel Adams Lager.
Also buttered mushrooms, mixed veggies and a baked potato with sour cream, butter and chives.
Afterwards we finished off the Rhubarb Tort.
Later a couple martinis and a sound nights sleep.

Cheers to all. I'm on my first bit of Dewar's. Went to the range today and shot the .243 BLR and Ruger Blackhawk 45 using the ACP cylinder. No target to show since it was very muddy and my son failed to bring it to me at the pistol range. He misunderstood and thought I told him to just leave it. (I really think he didn't want to slog through the mud to retrieve the targets.) Anyway, it was a fun but hot outing. Got the guns cleaned up, which is not as much fun, and now relaxing.

Just more whisky BRM. I feel your pain. As a matter of fact Im have a couple gin and tonics tonight thinkin about BRM braving that heat for those grandchildren baseball games. Not to mention the trips to Mickey D's afterwards. Salute up north its cocktail time
