Nice Job BRM. Those Savage rifles are great shooters and hard to keep up with. Ive owned and do own a Savage currently. Had one in a 223 and it was one great shooting gun.

Looks like the Henry caught up to the Savage when you went bench. I would have guessed it would have been offhand where they were closely matched.

What Gene said. Looks like a fun day at the range. Those .17's must be a gas to shoot. Too darn hot in the desert to shoot[102-105!]
Re: Savage .17 & Henry .17
Way to go BRM. That savage is a mighty fine looking gun. My understanding is you can tweak the trigger on them down to the 2-3 lb range. That should make for a sweet shooting rifle.

i think i need to switch the Henry 's scope from a Bushnell Banner Dusk & Dawn Multi-X Reticle to Leupold rimfire. The Leupolds are so much clearer and brighter to me in my opinion. I have a10/22 that one of the grandkids wants a scope on, I think I'll just put it on it and buy a Leupold.
