Happy to hear you have landed at your destination. Sounds like other than the tire minder hassle your trip was trouble free.

my wife's family is very involved in Estelline's yearly rodeo .... it begins Friday and they put our 12 year old Grandson right to work in helping setup .... along with 2 stints in the town swimming pool, he road 50 miles round trip to take one of the town's school buses in for its yearly service and bring back another, worked on the rodeo, and is now making S'mores ... 8-)

its been a beautiful and fun day in Estelline .... a morning supply trip to Brookings went well .... our youngest son and his wife had flown in to Sioux Falls a bit earlier and we happened to meet then at the Walmart in Brookings .... various members of Maureen's family worked together to finish the setup for the Rodeo that opens tomorrow night .... 4 different levels of baseball were played on the field behind our camper today .... the corn and bean crops look good but its mighty dry .... no serious rain in the forecast and that's not good news

Jim just curious what kind of tire temps and pressures were you seeing in the hot part of your trip? When I brought my new trailer home it was 100 degrees. Our tires were filled to max pressure before we left. I saw tire pressures from 122 to 128 and temps from 131 to 140 by the time we reached our storage unit. We have G rated tires on this trailer as we did the last.

ours were filled while we were in Texas to 100 psi when the temp was 60 some degrees.... with the temp in the mid to upper 90's when we left home, it was necessary to let some air out ... one of my mistakes was to guess at how much air I was letting out .... the highest pressure I remember seeing was 130 and the highest temp was 145

UPDATE :

this year the weather cooperated .... both Friday and Saturday night's Rodeos both went really well .... I'm not a big Rodeo fan but I thoroughly enjoyed both nights .... Sunday was spent watching softball and baseball games played in the city park behind our camper .... today the ladies took the kids to the Zoo in Watertown, SD .... family gathered for bratwurst, tonight its for burgers .... I've been fighting some sort of bug for the last 3 days .... hopefully, its starting to go away

UPDATE :

this morning we drove to Brookings with our Daughter to pickup groceries and meds .... picked up some of the original Sudafed that you now have to sign for .... took one pill that they say is good for 24 hours and I have to admit I am feeling much better .... sure hope that its positive impact continues .... after a spaghetti lunch we we loaded into two vehicles and drove 25 miles to watch one of our nieces' fast pitch softball team play a double header .... they lost the first and tied the second (time limit rule) .... we are now back in the camper where we are settled in for the evening watching "Stagecoach" made in 1986, staring Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash (not my favorite renditions)

busy day on tap .... one of my wife's sisters who lives over in Minnesota surprised us with a visit last night .... they are supposed to come back this morning and I'm supposed to take him to Brookings to purchase some shotgun shells .... he says none are to be found where they live .... after lunch we have to get ready to fix Huli Huli Chicken for 18 or so relatives ===> http://henryrifleforums.com/viewtopic.p ... li#p103589 .... doing so will keep our Traveler smoker busy of a good while .... :D

late yesterday afternoon our youngest son, 12 year old grandson and I drove down to the Brookings Gun Club where we each fired 4 rounds on their Trap range (100 skeet) .... we thoroughly enjoyed it .... shotgun cleaning is the first item on today's agenda .... with our kids and their families flying back to NC tomorrow, this will be our last day together .... we plan to eat out at lunch at the "Legendary" Red Carpet in downtown Estelline, SD ..... tonight we will once again drive to Volga to watch a nephew's baseball game

up early this morning, well at least early for me .... I have trouble sleeping when any of our children and/or their children are in flight .... Flight Aware Alive is a wonderful website .... as this is being typed our youngest son and his family's flight is around 25,000' over Nashville, TN ... they left Sioux Falls right at 5:45AM CDT and are due to land in Charlotte, NC at 9:09AM EDT .... they should then leave Charlotte around 11AM EDT on an hour flight back home to Raleigh, NC .... that will give me a few hours until our daughter and her 5 year old son take off from Sioux Falls and head back home
