Trienta trienta to the range

Post by Centaur » Thu Jun 24, 2021 5:01 pm

Got a Skinner barrel mount sight on my new 30-30 and headed to the range. After a couple of slight adjustments, I am good at 50 yards. Didn’t shoot any farther to conserve ammo. Did get a jam with a reload, but I think that this rifle needs some rounds through it to break it in. Didn’t shoot any factory ammo; that will be next trip.

Congrats on getting to the range.
You shooting the 150's or 170's?
4 of the 5 30-30's that I own shoot the heavier bullets better.

I shot 170s today, but I have some 150s for the next trip. We’ll see which one this rifle likes the best, but I may hunt elk with this rifle, so I want the 170s to be the better choice.

Great post title but I did have to think about it for a few seconds.

Had to look that up. So much for my Spanish. Glad you got in some shooting.
