What did you do at your reloading bench today?

Only once Colfisher around 1979, I am banned from leaving the man cave to do anything with guns and ammo !

I want you to know I wear the pants in the family, my wife just tells me which pair to wear each day, and which leg to put on first.

Do ya... Run things there also?

Like, like maybe the vacuum, washer & dryer, and other similar items?

Well...she doesn't like the way I load the washer, but I can unload and put in the dryer.
I pretty much only vacuum the cave, I never start the dishwasher, but it's ok to unload.
But really she takes care of everything, I just kinda pitch in from time to time.
Just a mere 25 yrs. with this one.

I have a rug in my reloading room that is a primer magnet. Back in the day (2019) when I dropped a live primer I didn’t try to find it and always wondered if the urban legend of a primer going off when vacuumed was true. Never happened thankfully. Now I search high and low for a live primer.

With all the spent primers I spill when I vacuum my rug the vacuum sounds like a grinder.

I decap with a LEE universal decap die on a single stage press and no matter how careful I am those little mothers go everywhere but into the primer try it seems.

These last few posts crack me up. I've come into the house with gun cleaning stuff or maybe a hand held prime thingy and say, "I wanna watch a couple innings of this game". Get the look only a wife can throw down and I just say, ok, ok, I'll listen on the radio out there". Back to normal.

Now see RT, when you do it enough, she eventually gives up and tells you to get a TV for the reloading room ! Best of both worlds now.

Thought about that r-n-g. As long as she still feeds me, I'll just make my way back in. I do have a good stereo set-up and well stocked mini fridge tho.

BUMMMMMMMEEERRRR ..... the order arrived but it didn't have 44 Spl, it had 40 S&W Spl .... don't know if it was my error in ordering or not ... I have a call in to Shooter's Pro Shop to see what can be worked out

the mix-up in the order was mine and I told them so .... without any hesitation, they said they would email us with a return authorization and shipping instructions .... to me that's good customer service

Successfully loaded about 25 rounds. Hope to get a date at local range soon. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I’ll zero short, and move to 100 based on how it does.

This is my first outing with the 6.5 Grendel.

As to the tv, well of course there's one,
the reloading bench is in the mancave.

Sometimes it happens Jim, I just recently ordered the wrong stock for a shotgun project.

I have managed lately, to get pretty well stocked on 45/70 components. Could still use some more brass, but it'll keep 'til the price is right.

IMHO a T.V. or a computer has no place in the space where ammo is being loaded. Every once in a while on some of the other firearms forums I read that someone got distracted and screwed up some of his reloads.Most of the time the mistake is detected before a trip to the range but not always.

Travlin, my loading bench is in the mancave, but it is seldom on.
If it is while loading it is on a music channel.
Most of the time it isn't on though.

Doing some work today and then going to reload some .280 Remington, .243, and 25-06. I'm running out of large rifle primers. I'll load maybe 15 ea. and save the rest for the general. I check everyday on the web for primers. Seems to be futile.

I cant offer any immediate help as I dont want to ship these things and get involved with hazmat garbage. But Id be willing to sell you some of my primers later in the year when I travel to Port A. I could meet you somewhere in between. We can talk about what you are wanting later but I have some other items I would just give you also. Prices on the primers would be the price I paid for them no gouging at my house.
