My wife found a bag of frozen shrimp in the fridge and wanted Bang Bang Shrimp for dinner. So I cooked. Season shrimp with salt & pepper then toss with corn starch. The bang bang sauce is simple. 1 part mayo, 1 part Thai Chili sauce and sriracha to taste for desired heat. Deep fry the shrimp ( 2-3 min.) then toss in sauce and serve over shredded lettuce (Napa works best, but we only had iceberg) with a garnish of chopped green onion. Yum Yum

That looks very good, will have to try it. Do you thaw the shrimp first or deep fry it frozen. I only have ever oven baked the frozen breaded shrimp, it has a lot of breading so carb count is pretty high for me. Looks like this way the coating could be a lot thinner.

Thaw the shrimp first. They should be just slightly damp so the corn starch sticks. Your want a good coating of corn starch since that gives them a crisp. I heat the oil to 340-350 F and fry the shrimp for 2-3 min. no more they will get tough. Drain on paper towels and toss in sauce.

Will have to try that. Looks pretty good.
We eat a lot of sea food, mostly shrimp, but what we do is use Old Bay and do the recipe on the side of the can, except we substitute the water with beer and double the amount of Old Bay. Then a cocktail sauce with horse radish.

We had your Bang Bang Shrimp for supper tonight and they were great! Carol just served them with some noodles and a cucumber salad, but we loved them. Definitely will be on our favorites list.

Seeing as the wife is of Asian persuasion, I get all sorts of Asian food here. Tonight, Thai beef sa-ta[thin cut sirloin or ribeye on skewers, Thai rice, which is the best in the world[for me] and a few shrimp on the rice. I bbq the beef, she handles the rest. GOOD!!! Follow with beer. Baseball on after that. Glad to see others like Thai food. Good stuff.

Couldn’t catch up with any smoking chips. So, venison roast is in slow cooker with‘stuff’. Looking forward to several good meals.
