Morning shoot with friends
Morning shoot with friends
Every weekend morning I meet a small group of friends and we shoot rimfire. We set targets at 150 yards and use orange clays and with a 22lr it is quite challenging, but loads of fun. They mostly shoot CZ's, Ruger's and Savages due to their accuracy, all shooting is done from a bench with just a front bag. But today was a little different and I did get laughed at a bit, at least from the start. I brought along my Little Henry H001Y youth rifle, with a Vortex 4-12x44 scope. Well it wasn't long before the laughing stopped and the accuracy sunk in, the Little Henry did very well and then some. When all was said and done and the clays were broken into little pieces, the little youth rifle had more hits than any other shooter there. I knew the rifle could shoot but I had no idea at that distance it would do so well. I'm going to stick with this rifle all spring and summer at all our shoots. I found the rifle likes Aguila super extra 40gr and Blazer 40gr ammo, so that's what I be using. I hope others have experienced similar accuracy with your Henry rimfires.

When you get a good shooter keep it! Iโve done what you guys were doings but only at 50 yards.
