Ya I know Randy its just personal preference. Like me I like the 41 always have and always will. Thinning the herd big time now. I will be taking more guns for sale when I get home and then selling off the brass and bullets. I no longer own any 45-70's. Just gonna shoot my 38-55's. Those big shoulder pounders are for tougher men than me like the Grunt.
I know where there is a nice Marlin Cowboy in 38-55, tis over near your home.
Apologize to the OP for the thread drift.

I hear you Al, at one time I had Marlin’s in 375 win, 444 and 45/70. No desire anymore to shoot those big bores. I’m really liking my pistol caliber carbines and am excited to pick up my 41 on February 29th. :D Okay, on March 1st. My monthly budget always opens up on the 29th.
