I like the looks for that 6.0 Universal load. I've put some of those together, but haven't had a chance to test them yet. Now I can't wait to get them to the range and see how my BBS like them.

Oh yeah; back from not feeling too hot to fine, both of us. Thanks all for the support. Just a nice day in the desert, about 72, a slight breeze. Set the "Bad Bart Saloon" targets at about 50 yards. You can see the results. Really liked the 6.0gr Universal/158gr rnfp results. Of course out of the .357 BB brass Henry. Now to the Pietta .45 Colt. I listened to what some of you folks mentioned about trigger control, working with the front sight and trying different loads. For the Pietta, I've settled on 7.2gr Universal/250rg rnfp bullet. It shoots to POA and is accurate. I'm guessing the way I work the trigger does indeed have something to do with where the bullet hits. Nothing wrong with 8.0gr Unique, the Universal loads is just easier to get along with. Heck, even my wife shot the .45 Colt without any problems. As long as she could hit something in the desert, she was happy with that. Me too.
Trying different loads, but, I've settled on that 7.2gr Universal for the Pietta. 8.0gr Unique for the Henry rifle and Uberti/Taylors.45.
Next up: More testing for .45 acp in the Pietta. Wife wants to try that one also. It doesn't get any better than that! A big THANK YOU to Al for posting my pictures for this non tech dinosaur once again. More loading and another desert trip soon.
Just to add: The "Bad Bart Saloon" idea most certainly came from forty's saloon range set-up. Thanks for the idea forty!
The 6.0gr Universal/158gr rnfp load was an idea brought up by Headhog and his 5.8 load. It works! Thanks all.

Hey Tom any leading this time in the Pietta
Not near what I had before. Can't imagine changing powder would lessen any leading, but, very little this time out. Same Missouri rnfp plain bullet.
Go figure, but, happy camper here.
