I recently had the trigger in one of my 10/22’s worked on by Brimestone Gunsmithing of Camas, WA and I was curious how it would compare to a factory trigger. So yesterday I shot both rifles and here are the results. I fired two sets of three shots with each rifle in side by side bullseyes.
Of note is the fact these are not identical 10/22’s so the results have to have an *. First is a factory standard 10/22 with the 18.5 barrel and a 3X scope. Second is a Sporter Deluxe with a 20” barrel and a 7X scope. I would think these two differences would make a slight difference but the difference in the triggers is huge. The Sporter is the rifle with the improved trigger. I just had an idea
As you can see the Sporter (on the left) has a much tighter group.
50 yards bagged on a bench.
Six shot groups.
40 degrees and calm.
