That is a really nice looking leather wrap. I have never used a wrap but when I do I think I’ll look into the solid leather piece like yours. Well done!

This guy makes a nice one Hatch. But I know ur gonna win one.

Thanks Al, I watched the video and now I understand how to do a baseball stitch as mentioned by Retiredguns. I’ll be getting a few of these in the future.

Retiredguns, great pics with the revolvers.

'guns, I'm really liking that Henry! Nice, simple lever wrap you put on also. Nice touch. Also the older Colt is just, well, awesome! Nice collection you have going.

Very nice rifle. UPS dropped of my 357 carbine with side gate last night. I was keeping busy all day trying to make the time pass. It is beautiful. I will shoot it today.

I took my Dad on a road trip yesterday so he could trade a rifle for a shotgun with someone he knows. Driving through the country I started thinking about moving to some property where I can shoot when I want. My Wife said, "You want to spend a couple hundred grand so you can shoot your $799 rifle?" Yep.

If it is a house to her liken, it could probably be anywhere, even on a 20-40 acre lot. ;) I am thinking about doing something similar.

Doesn't have to be a large acreage either. 6 to 15 in the RIGHT location with a dirt/sand berm will work fine. Find a place in a rural/farm district surrounded with woods and few homes around if you can.

Had a chance to get out and shoot the new rifle today. Shot about 30 .38s and 25 .357s. Would love to shoot more, but watching my ammo count until people quit hoarding.

The rifle is a treat to shoot. .38s are like a BB gun and .357s not much more. Kind of goofy putting a rubber butt pad on, but that's OK. Wonder if there is a replacement butt plate? The loading gate works as well as any I have owned. The rifle was pretty much dead on at 25yds. Need to get to a friend's property where I can shoot to 150yds. To me, the model is perfect. Gonna be an heirloom.

Glad it is a treat to shoot. If more power is desired, the Gov't stand ready: https://www.henryusa.com/henry-rifles-and-shotguns/

While I love the carbine, 10rds in the rifle is sweet!

1 1\2" difference. Well, the X-Model may do: https://www.henryusa.com/rifles/lever-a ... del-45-70/. At any rate, what works for you is what counts. Since you made the BB gun comment, just pointed out something that has a bigger bang!

Glad I got my rifle when I did. They never stay in stock for longer than 10 minutes and the price has gone up. Heck, people are paying almost $1200 on Gunbroker. I paid $799. This would have been $700-ish pre-covid.
