Got the 1858 Remmie out for some fun today...
My son and I got out today and he had his first shots with the Remington revolver shooting my BP .45 Colt load of Black MZ powder and 230 gr. Speer bullet. He did well with it being able to hit the steel targets and take out a 1 liter Orange Crush from 7 yds.
He had some great fun with his .45 1911 as well. Always a treat when I can get him out there for some fun from his very busy life!!
When we got back to my place we had a beer or two on the front porch of my shootin' shack while the Remmie was soaking up some Ballistol and talking about the day!
In second picture you might see the smokey trail of the bullet as it travels out the barrel to the far right!

According to my Alliant Black MZ load chart with the 26 gr. of powder the bullet just touches the powder at my COL which it should.JEBar wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 8:17 pmthat bullet got away so fast that there is nothing therefortyshooter wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 8:11 pmIn second picture you might see the smokey trail of the bullet as it travels out the barrel to the far right!![]()
