357 sidegate
Re: 357 sidegate
I don't expect to see one soon but I want to get on the list. If RR can wait as long as he did to get his rifle, I guess I can wait a few months. Maybe

Re: 357 sidegate
Nice decision Ernie!
Re: 357 sidegate
One or the other was inevitable. It was simply a matter of when the guns became available. I have been buying brass and bullets as I can find them for a couple weeks, wish I had started earlier. I have a NIB Marlin 44 mag or that caliber would have been a contender as well. And no....I don't need a 44 Henry too. YET.
Re: 357 sidegate
I would like to own one someday soon 357 magnum.

Re: 357 sidegate
357 is scarce and so are brass and bullets. I have some to try mine when it shows up but need to get set up to reload.

Re: 357 sidegate
I bought the first 327BB I laid eyes on. Turned out it was a rifle.
To my eyes the carbine "looked " better. So I had a touch of buyers remorse,,,, and it gnawed at me .
So when I found a 327BB carbine it came home , YAY.
But when I but them side by side I was pretty humbled at how small a difference it made ,,,as in not enough to fret about.
Visually the carbine "looks" substantially smaller I think due to the larger loop lever ,,,,,maybe.
So to me now the answer is get the one you can lay hands on , the difference is not worth debating over.
In these times of low , hard to find inventory a bird in the hand an all that.

Carbine case hardened sidegate in 357. Go with SGC and BBS in 41.

Re: 357 sidegate
Now Ernie....when you get it you will have to dismantle the receiver so we can get a good look at the difference between gate and no gate parts!
Re: 357 sidegate
I have not gotten a ship date yet. I think it is just going to show up SOMEDAY. Then we can negotiate.
